I am looking into how to add Adsense, and other affiliate programs. I first need to develop the site more and add more content that people will find useful.

You won’t regret having WordPress script installed on your own server though. It’s just so much better for name-branding purposes.

Yes, ask.metafilter.com is another good site as well. I also like Google Trends - http://google.com/trends.

If you look at my earlier post “Who the heck is Nicole Jaracz?” (Friday, October 12, 2007) I took the #2 entry from Google Hot Trends - http://google.com/trends/hottrends?sa=X from that day - “Nicole Jaracz” and wrote a blog entry with it as an experiment. I got a large number of hits that following Monday, October 15, and in fact, people still come to my site based on that keyword search.

Some other ideas for finding topics:

1) Yahoo Answer - or any other Q&A site
2) SEO phrases you are already targeting in your search engine campaigns, especially the high traffic phrases.

For one of my clients, I provide them a monthly list of phrases that are high volume for topics to post on their blogs. These blogs drive traffic to their main sites which hold the call-to-actions.

I was in Costa Rica last June and really enjoyed it…enough to investigate what it would take to work from there a few months out of the year. The problem is I have two children, one 17 and one 13, and until they are out of college, I am pretty much resolved to staying here for the time being. There is, of course the summer break, which would be nice to spend in other countries.

I’ve always found that sometimes you need space and time to embrace new projects.. and to allow new opportunities in… If you have savings and are looking to build an on-line business - had you considered taking yourself to a country with a much lower cost of living to build your business?? Sorry if I’ve not read something within your blog which answers that question already!!!

I stopped working on it because of all that has been going on in my life, which admittedly is lame.

I will get back to it and put it in a future post…promise…
